Limestone Screening Before Milling

Limestone from the crusher can contain oversize fragments and fines that cling together when the feed is damp. A size check before milling separates the oversize fraction and makes the mill feed more consistent.

Process and Equipment Selection

Set the screen opening against the mill’s allowable feed top size. Distribute the feed across the deck and decide whether rejected material returns to the crusher or goes to a separate stockpile. Check screen wear and the risk of blinding with representative dry and damp samples.
